Battle Cat is the alter ego of Cringer, the cowardly, lazy, over-eating feline companion of Prince Adam.

Como otras figuras de Mattel, Battle Cat tiene su origen mucho antes. En 1977 Mattel había fabricado un tigre para su colección Big Jim (también conocido como Jim de la jungla).
