Description

Two statues representing Michelangelo's masterpiece "The creation of Adam".

The Creation of Adam (Italian: Creazione di Adamo) is a fresco painting by Italian artist Michelangelo, which forms part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling, painted c. 1508–1512. It illustrates the Biblical creation narrative from the Book of Genesis in which God gives life to Adam, the first man. The fresco is part of a complex iconographic scheme and is chronologically the fourth in the series of panels depicting episodes from Genesis.

The statueΒ dimensions are the following (mm):Β

God Statue:Β

Height- 120

Width- 155

Depth- 68

Adam: Height- 98

Width- 122

Depth- 98

Sculpting software used: Blender

Render method used for the previews: Cycles

Filament: PLA

Slicer used to 3D print: Ultimaker Cura

Settings I've used to 3D print:

Standard quality - 0.2mm

Infill - 20%

Supports (God)- This one you'll have to mess around to figure wich are the best supports for you. Obviously, God's right arm need supports and since there are a lot of protuberant parts with this 3D representation it all depends which software, printer and filament you are using. You could use the automatic supports, but that would consume a lot of filament and time (and noone wants that)...so like I've said find the best way for your needs. Supports (Adam)- I've used regular Cura supports for the legs, left arm and the left side of the head.

Speed - 50% first 20 layers and 100% for the rest

Plate Adhesion - Skirt

Cooling - Enabled

Travel - Retraction Enabled
