Description
Dial feet installation tool: Seiko 28,5 mm dial for: NH35, NH36, NH34, 4R35, 4R36, 4R34
- Print with resin (not PLA) with high résolution (fine layers)
- Use dial feet with a base of 2,5mm diameter, bigger base will interfere with the case
- Do not remove dial feet from your dial: they will be used to position the dial to glue the new feet
- Install feet on movement spacer: file where the base of the dial feet interferes with the spacer so the dial can sit properly on the spacer. File away from the movement /rearward/towards you, to prevent dust from going into the movement.
- Roughen the dial feet and dial surface, clean the surface.
- Install the dial feets on the tool, add a minimum of glue: there are some ‘’glue pockets’’ to prevent the excess glue to bond the dial and dial feet to the tool but excessive glue will not prevent bonding. Putting a bit of silicon grease (gasket grease) on the tool can also help.
- Install the dial on the tool and press
- Remove the old dial feet and file any protrusion
- If your dial does not have any feet:
- The central stud of the tool will center the dial, then use the triangular markers to adjust the angular position: Seiko dials have a small notch at 12 o’clock, if you make your own: incorporate notches at cardinal positions.
