Description

Summary

This is a mount (on the extruder) for a Phoenix 3D.

It is meant for use with an Inductive Probe Sensor.

This is one of my initial 3D designs (when I was just getting into 3D printing) and it is an import from thingiverse.

I created this with tinkercad - two designs are available for your needs.

You have the option of mounting the inductive probe closer to or away from the extruder assembly.

Printing Notes

Print as preferred (support or no support).

At least 40% infill, but you can get away with less.

Slide in the wiring for the probe through the opening before soldering and wrapping your connectors for the RAMBo board.

Mount the probe on the probe mount (the thing you are looking at) before mounting on the extruder but don't tighten the probe yet.

Mount the probe mount on the left or right (front) side of the extruder motor with the same screw (just remove the washer).

You want the bottom (sensor) of the probe to be about 1mm from the bed in relation to the extruder nozzle.
