





Description
This small (about 150 mm high) table lamp would make a good child's nightlight. It uses a remote controlled LED that can change colors, change brightness, and turn on and off. Here is the LED unit:

It requires 3 AAA batteries.
The LED unit fits inside the lamp and can be easily removed. The lamp printed in slightly less than 13 hours using a layer height of 0.200 mm. I used white PLA filament, but clear is also a good choice. Other colors work OK, but they do affect the colors of the LED unit.

My daughter uses one of these lights every night for 2 - 3 hours or so. She tells me the 3 AAA batteries last about 2 weeks. So she is going to get a set of rechargeable AAA's.
I wanted to use a wall powered light source, and I found this one that works very well

but I cannot find a base/cord combination I can incorporate into a 3D design. I'm still looking for something like that.
You seem to have experience with this. How long would a dry battery powered lamp last? I want to weigh making a lamp that is plugged in vs battery powered given their life span
