Description

This eyepiece turret can hold up to six 1.25" eyepieces. It's build around a GSO Elliptical Secondary Mirror - 31mm (GSO AD012). You also need two stainless steal springs (7.5x35x0.7mm) for the locking mechanism, 6 M4 screws en two M4 inbus screw to secure the turret cap. The holes need to be tapped to M4.

Or you can, as I did, buy it here: https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p1668_GSO-Newtonian-secondary---elliptical--minor-axis-31mm.html

Thanks, I hope that this design will inspire you to come up with a solution for your 2" eyepieces.
I made this one even though I'm not a visual observer myself. Just for fun to see if it was even possible ;-)
If you succeed in your effort please let me know. I'm very interested. Also, if you have any questions regarding this design please let me know.

This would be a great starting point for my own design. I've got one of those huge monster dobsonians (16" truss type by Orion) It uses 2" eyepieces that I love using. It would be cool if I could rotate them about rather than fumble around in the dark trying to switch them. Its easier to start with other people's creations rather than working with a vacuum. :-) Whether I get something built and working nicely before the July/August Nebraska Star Party may be another matter, but it is great looking at this creation of yours.
