You can try printing the entire transition with enough perimeters to support the shoulders, but then you get an excessively heavy part. I am able to successful print these using 6 different processes to increase perimeters where needed and still keep most of the transition very light using 2 layers. I use the section tool to examine how the layers are stacking at the tube ends. I print them in ABS for resilience. Can be acetone vapor smoothed for better surface and to assure good layer bonding.
