Description

THE IDEA

This model  is inspired by natural forms like crocodile, dragon or fish squama and this way got this surface. The grip's surface is important according to grabbing and  adhesion. The extruded part is crucial to be comfortable for longer rides as well regarding the "carpus" area of your hand.

ASSEMBLY

Creating a tiny hole at the end can solve the air pressure problem when installing, but it's optional. Simply grab it on the handlebar. Use hair spray or water to install it!

MATERIALS

Recommended to be printed in castable wax, elasto plastic, flexible resin or any other flexible materials.

UPDATES

The files are updated on 12.04.2017.

NOTE

The model's volume is less than 80cm3.

Hey, Printed this today for my VW Trike. It looks like it has finger rest and it set to use on the right handle bar. Can I ask you if you could remove the finger rest (indentions) so this could be printed for motorcycle use and not dependent on left or right side ?

Hi! I've just uploaded two more files according to your request. If you can't reach it, I can send them to you. And if you sent me some images of your print and your trike, that would be awesome! :)))

What printer do you use?

Hi David, thanks for your purchase! Please note, that this model was not printed yet, however it fits to any desktop printer that can print in this size. I recommend using a printer that can print with elastic material or choose a host 3d printer company to print it. Also if you need the grip for a different handlebar, send me a message and I can upload it for you!

I like it, this is nice design! There are some technical issues with it. How would you esure that grip is so tight on handlebar that it don't slip and in the same time is loose enough to be able to instal it on the handlebar? Also in rubber grips you always have both ends "free" to be able to install it using pressured air or some lube.

Thanks for writing! I appreciate it. Considering your ideas, I will update my model soon with some corrections, but I think a tiny hole at the end would solve this issue you mentioned. The closing part can be a cap maybe. For the installation I recommend using hair spray. It slips for a few seconds and after that the grip sticks to it well!
