Successfully Tested! for Balancing RC Plane Center of Gravity. Uses 5/16th Threaded rod and standard nuts for customizing. UPDATE: the threaded rod is a perfect fit. The friction fit on the slide rulers can be adjusted by adding a strip of electrical tape to the back of the ruler or to the inside face of the balancer surface.

Have you considered modifying this so there is some type of leg extension towards the rear so you don't need the weight (c-clamp) up front? Maybe something for some cheap aluminum square tubing, or another threaded rod.
