Description
Tis' the season for coworkers requesting odds and ends. One asked for a unicorn. I gave a resounding, "No!" then felt bad and offered a Narwhal instead. After a few unfruitful attempts at sculpting, I opted for the low-poly/quasi-abstract approach, taking a cue from Big Ben, the whale from those Rankin/Bass Rudolph specials.
At first there was only the forehead hole for the marker to act as the horn, but the more I looked at it, the more I thought of adding a blowhole. This works best when you have a pen with plumage on it.
