Depth caliper / Depth gauge
Free

I needed a depth caliper, also known as a depth gauge, for a project and come up with these. A tool super handy and should not be missing in any workshop. Measuring depths in difficult places, for easy positioning of brackets and much more.

Consisting of only two printed parts, one with an already integrated locking lever. The 3D printed depth gauge can be printed completely and does not require any additional purchased parts.

With a manual filament change you can print in two colors to highlight the numbers and symbols like shown in the pictures.

Detail print and assembly instructions at my website: Assembly instructions of the 3D printed depth caliper

3D print settings:

Layer height 0.2 mm and 50% infill (rectangular)

Total printing time is about 2 hours, approx. 23 g of filament is printed.

The largest 3D printed part of this project (ruler) requires a base of 200 x 16 mm. By turning the ruler 45° diagonally, it only needs a print base of 160 x 160 mm. So any 3D printer with a build space (X, Y) of at least 160 x 160 mm is suitable.

How to print with 2 colors with common slicers - you find a list of links at the end of the instructions at my website (link see above).
