I challenged myself to design and print a roughly spherical print-in-place iris box. This version is modified to include a platform that rotates as it raises and lowers with a slot that is sized to fit my Canadian engineer's Iron Ring.
I included alternate platform parts so you can modify it for your own storage needs.
Recommend printing at 72 percent scale and printing the mechanism and base nearly solid. This will fit a 3mm wide ring.
There are 2 base design options; one with a handle feature and one without.
