Summary
for some reason in the original file, the middle sections were not closed properly (see snapshot, vertex tearing?) so the model was malformed and the (Collada?) .dae file would not print correctly; modified this, printed without supports @ .25 layer height and w/30% infill - ~20 minute print time.
