Russian Tower (cupola, onion dome) inspired by Saint Basil's Cat
Free
Summary Cupola on Russian church tower designed by mathematical model on OpenSCAD. The PHP script and OpenSCAD program are included. STL files for two colors are scaled to x30, shifted onto 3D printer bed (by blender), and simplified/fixed manifoldness (using meshlab). Instructions I used Da Vince 2.0, 2 filament printer, with "russiantow-gx30fix" on green and "russiantow-rx30fix" on red. Use any 3D CAD tool to mix two STL files if you'd like to use single color printer. If you'd like to change the design the shape of "onion," adjust parameters, run PHP and redirect output to file "calcmesh.scad," then run "russiantow.scad." The parameters to decide tile design is described in "russiantow.scad."
