Bee Escape
Free
Summary Lets you create an escape board for your beehive. Instructions This is used to create a bee escape board. The edging on your board needs to be about 1/2" (12 mm) so that the bee escape doesn't rest on the hive box below it. It's your choice for how to use it. Four of them can be printed and positioned in the center of your board to create an 8-way round bee escape. Or, you can put them in the corners of the board. For my bee escape board, I printed four of them and put one in each corner. 8-way round bee escape - Cut a 3 to 4 inch hole in the center of your board. Center the four escapes over the hole and attach the escapes to the bottom of the escape board with screws. Corner Escape - Cut a hole in each corner of your escape board where you are attaching an escape. Attach the escape with a screw. To use the board, place it facing down beneath the honey super in your hive. After a day or two, most of the bees should have left out of the the honey super and will be unable to find their way back into it. NOTE: I probably won't give this a try until September so I don't know how well it works.
