This is a classic chess set I modeled and printed for my friend's birthday. I have seen many weird and wonderful chess sets in my time, but mid game you struggle to identify which piece is which. Thats why I think the classic design is the best.
I have left a cavity in the bottom to add weight. I used steel discs which I got from a metal fabrication workshop, from their turret press. I glued them in, then cut out felt discs using the templates provided and a sharp blade.
Print with no support material. The Knight has a rod to support the overhang, which can be removed after printing.
