Stand for Weller WMRT Desoldering Tweezers
Free
SummaryI'm in love with my new desoldering tweezers - so much better than hot-air tools, using two separate irons, or prying components off of boards with one iron. After shelling out $400 for the tweezers and base station, however, I'm not in the mood to drop another $88 for the Weller tweezer stand, hence this Thing. The WMRT handpiece has an internal magnetic switch that switches off the power to the tweezers when they're in the stand to conserve tip life; that's why there's a magnet in the stand.InstructionsThe part in the photo was printed on an Up at 0.25mm layer height, before I'd added recesses for the rubber feet. Should look nicer now with the recesses. The magnet recess is designed to hold a 12.5mm magnet by snug friction fit. It doesn't have to be a rare earth magnet, a cheap ceramic will do.
