SummaryOne of the brackets on my beloved MDR 7506's developed a crack, so I made this replacement. They are almost twenty years old at this point and still going strong!
Version A is printed out in the photo. Version B has some minor cosmetic tweaks which make it cooler.
The biggest difference is that the round part is thicker than in the original.Print SettingsRafts: NoSupports: NoResolution: .27 mmNotes: Supports included. I used ABS at around 30% infill with 2 shells, and it was perfect. I suggest not increasing the infill too much or it may be difficult to stretch them enough to get them in. They don't have to be bullet-proof.
If using PLA use a slightly lighter infill because it is a stiffer material. That way you can stretch it enough to fit it over.Post-PrintingCleanupRemove the ears, remove the little supports for the pins. You will probably want to go around them with a knife to make them nice and round before trying to install them, it is a close fit.
It may be helpful to warm up the parts before stretching them over the earpiece.
I recommend replacing the stock screw with a longer one if possible.
