When I was a child I had this idéa that if you put wind turbines on an electric car (not an R/C car), you would obviously get a car that runs on infinite energy. Now that I'm older I realise that it doesn't work quite like that. When thinking about what I should make for the Open R/C contest, my mind went to this silly idéa. But instead of making something complicated like putting a generator on it to recharge the battery, I thought that I would make a worm gear to make a second "engine". Then connecting it to other gears to move "something". Aaaaand it was more complicated than I expected... Making fan blades for the turbine was hard enough, making a worm gear was impossible with my current skill.
So the final result didn't turn out as I planned, my worm gear engine bacame more like a gatling gun or something. And then I kind of thought that it started to look a little like "serenity", the ship from the "Firefly" series, so I gave the R/C some rocket boosters.
I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to try and design the parts with the flow of the R/C design in mind.
I don't have a 3d printer so I have no idéa what setting to use or if the part can be printed without problems :P
