Motorcycle Toll Box

I have been frustrated for many years for the need to pay tunnel tolls - you stop, take your gloves off, scrabble for notes or coins, pay then put change away, gloves back on. The whole process is time consuming and has car drivers behind you frustrated at the time you take.

So I designed this. The full system consists of a 3D printed item which includes two coin holders which rotate back and down to let coins fall out into a gloved hand and which are wide enough to easily drop change into the receptacle when it is upright. Each lid when lifted drops down into a slot at the front of the unit (away from the rider) to allow the coin holder to rotate freely. 

Each lid also includes a slot to hold a folded note or bill to hand over.

The right hand side slot with the square cover holds a credit card which can be slid out using gloved hands where tolls are payable by card.

Two mounts are provided. One is a simple bar mount which you need to attach to the Toll Box using 4 x12mm / half inch countersunk screws. You attach it to the handlebars using four cable ties. I recommend wrapping the mount point with self amalgmating rubber tape first to prove a grippy surface. This can accommodate bars up to 29mm

The second mount is designed to be used with sloping handlebars or flat surfaces and rotates on the back of the Toll Box using a crown mount. This needs to be secured with a single 12mm screw and then glued using a contact adhesive (Pattex is good) so get the angle correct first!

The full Toll Box itself needs assembling. First get the top lids of the coin holders on. To do this tilt the lid sideways by around 40 degrees to engage the right side in the slot then  snap the left side in. Honestly it fits! Once both lids are in put them in their vertical position and then slide the coin holders in. You need to trim the print supports off the coin holders and chassis first of course.

The large square lid for the credit card holder needs to be slid on carefully from back to front.
