I used these hinges for a BBQ cabinet, but they would work great for boxes or cabinets large and small. They are amazingly strong — I would rate them as having at a minimum a 15-20 lb/ 7 kg capacity.
For a finish, I used acetone mixed with copper powder as a first coat and then half carpenters glue, half water with copper powder again. Anticipate it will change color and go green with humidity, which is the desired effect. Copper polishes nicely with soft dremel tools.
1.75 mm filament is used as the hinge pin. Printed in ABS at .3 mm resolution.
