Summary Update 081216: Spent a lot of time getting the blower fan for PLA dialed in. Completely restarted it from scratch and made to point as close to extrusion as possible While Not pointing to the heater block. Also strengthened main mount to carriage even more down where the right angle supports come in and Added 2 more pass thru holes and added fillet to all 3 holes for easy wire routing. Note: The new fan duct WILL work on the last rev of the carriage mount. Thanks! Update 073116: Now Running E3D Titan Extruder and V6 Hot End I wanted to print and use the version that @lasersharkdesign created but with a couple tweaks. 1) Moved/adjusted fan hole mounts for 3MM heat set inserts 2) Adjusted small holes for attaching the motor mount part to the main extruder mount using 2MM heat set inserts (yes super tiny :-) 3) Re-Created the fan shroud mount also for 3MM heat set inserts to mount fan to as well as made it thicker than the other shroud to print better and adhere to the mounting plate better when printing. It's not in use yet, but will update as I get running. His design fit perfectly in the extruder / carriage mount on my TAZ 5. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.25 Infill: 85% Notes: Used Taulman n-vent from Lulzbot. Very strong and nice shiny finish when printed.
