Summary One of the stow-n-go latches on my wife's 2005 Town and Country van broke. I looked at purchasing a replacement part, and the least expensive I found was around $30 from a questionable source. Rather than risk that (or pay twice that at a dealership) I decided to print a replacement. I searched Thingiverse, but didn't find the part. I decided to draw up the part myself. This thing is the result. I printed it first in PLA to test the fit and work out any issues. I was planning to print the final in ABS. I made one attempt to print it in ABS and it didn't turn out to my satisfaction. I printed the part vertically (with supports) and the ABS curled up on the overhangs. The ABS part is functional, but looks a little sloppy. I suppose that doesn't really matter, since the part is hidden 99% of the time when it's in use, but I'm somewhat OCD at times. I installed the PLA part and it's been doing it's duty well since. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Hesine M505 (Prusa i3) Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 25% Notes: Any way you print it, it will require supports. I printed the part vertically (where the length of the part is along the Z axis). I did this so that the layers would run against the tab on the bottom of the part. If the layers were along the tab, it would likely break as the original did.
