Summary
Scanned a carved lion statue using 123D Catch from my phone, then imported it into Autodesk ReMake to trim and export to an stl. Then I 3d printed it. I'm very happy with this.

Scaled 1000% - edit program worked in mm, should have been cm.
How I Designed This
Captured in 123D Catch with standard mesh.
Uploaded to 123dapp.com
Imported into Autodesk ReMake (finally worked out how).
Trimmed away the supporting bench and used the fix tool to repair the mesh.
Mesh OBJ and Photos has been uploaded, if you would like to edit them yourselves.
