Motorcycle Rotor Brake Disk Cover
Free
Summary Here you have a complete project to create a pair of rotor disk covers for your bike. They fit all kind of bike with a 60 mm diameter fork legs, no matter the brand, even if I designed for Jap bikes like mine (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki). Here you find the right one, you just have to X mirror them to have the left version. IMPORTANT for your safety: you have to print it in a very industrial way to reach enought stiffness to run safely. PLEASE read the information about PRINTING SETTINGS! Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.4 Infill: 30% Notes: IMPORTANT NOTICE: My covers are shared just for expert Makers. DONT try to make it with a common nozzle 0.4 desktop machines, you risk to avoid damages or accidents on your bike and for you. USE a 0.8 NOZZLE and 0.35/0.4 layer high with ABS, or ABS PRO, HIPS or similar, very strong materials. DONT use PLA!!! Use 2.4 or 3.2 shell thickness (3/4 perimeters on 0.8 nozzle). With a big nozzle and ABS or professional material, you will be able to mount them and use them safely for a ton of miles. Actually my covers have 2.000 km without problems at all. Post-Printing PRINT the dx or the sx version and assemble them using stainless steel bolts. Use the stongest cable ties 5 or 6 mm large you could find. If you like, you can put a double-side industrial adhesive tape on the back side, to prevent turnings around the leg. Actually my covers did'nt turn at all, even without the tape.
