Greg's Wade Accessible Belt Drive Extruder, Rev2
Free
Summary This is a mash-up of the Greg's Wade extruder and Terawatt Industry's belt drive extruder. It brings the zero backlash advantages of the Terawatt 00str00der design together with a heavy duty, rock solid design. Note: this is designed for 3mm filament. I've included the solidworks files for the frame and assembly. You'll have to download the remainder of the solidworks files from the original version of the extruder if you want to fully edit the assembly This is a remixed version of the original: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:185269 Updates: -Beefier main frame to avoid cracking around bearings -Accommodates 2x 608 bearings on the non-drive side of the hobbed bolt for extra stability -improved nut traps for M4 mounting nuts -improved stepper mounting plate 2015.10.27 update: -I added files for the idler- NITEWING76 was kind enough to send me the files for inclusion in this package. 2014.10.01 Update: -Updated 1.75mm version to allow for more compression of the filament. Also updated the Solidworks .prt file. 2014.09.23 Update: -Added 1.75mm filament version. I'm not sure if there will still be enough clamping distance available with the idler- if someone tries it, and it works (or doesn't work) please let me know. -Updated the solidworks part file- it now includes two configurations, the default 3mm and a 1.75mm version.
