Summary Foodsaver vacuum marinator accessory is a great way to quickly infuse steaks with marinade, but it has two problems. The first one is the meat floats. The second one is it doesn't. If it floats, the top surface raises above the marinade, if it sinks, the bottom of the steak sticks to the canister and does not get exposed to liquid. This grill solves both problems. Lay the small (bottom) part on the bottom of the canister, spikes up. Lay the larger (top) part on top of the steak, spikes down. Use the tall or the short ring, depending on the thickness of the steak, to push the grill down, the lid of the marinator must press on the ring and hold the grill and the meat down. The ring has a flat side and a chamfered side, the chamfered side fits into the groove on top of the grill so the whole thing does not slide sideways.
