IMPORTANT: We are still working on this design. We haven't checked the prosthetic finger with any patient yet, so we are not sure if it will correctly satisfy the patient's needs.
SUMMARY
This model has been inspired in a Thinguiverse design: (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1340624) of a prosthetic index finger, and it is ideal for those missing one segment of the thumb –so that they still have a part of the proximal phalange bone-. This design has been designed to fit with any size of a thumb stump, but if it's necessary you can modify the mesures in order to make it more adaptable to your needs. We must mention that we have not created this prosthesis only by ourselves: we have received technical help from an engineer and medical help from an occupational therapist who works with amputated patients.
Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2+ Extended
We have used the SolidWorks programme.
MATERIALS
PLA ( you can print all the finger pieces with this material)
We have used a mix of VERO PURE WHITE(RGD837) + TANGO PLUS (fullcure950) for the Pieza6.STL and the Pieza4.STL pieces, because this material is more adaptable to the stump and also more confortable, it doesn't irritate the skin.

WHO WE ARE
We are two seventeen-year- old students from Barcelona and we have been working on a school project for almost a year now. The main subject of our project is the 3D printing, in particular the 3D printed prosthetic limbs. And as the final product we have created a prosthetic thumb.
