This lampshade will cast shadows forming light and dark patterns based on Escher's lizards tessellation. For a sharp image you will need a single, small light source like the LED flashlight on your cellphone.
I glued on small magnets to attach it to the included base, but you could just as easily glue them together into a single piece.
Some sections will need careful support placement; soluble materials would be best. Consider splitting the dome into pieces to save on material.
