One of the cool puzzles from Stewart Coffin's book The Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections. These 4 pieces fit together to make a 3x3x3 cube of cubes. The way they go together is interesting. Coffin describes it as "serially interlocking".
The parts are a fairly tight fit. You might need to do a little sanding to fine tune it.
