Description

A kneeling samurai submits his swords before you, except its not a sword and his hands is scaled to fit a wacom pen. Keep in mind that this needs to be printed rather large in order to actually hold a pen.

Attached 3 files:  1.  Samuraiholder.obj = original model without proper scale.  2. TabletPenHolder.STL = New stl file with the right scale.  3. LowerResolution_Samuraiholder = Half of the original size for easier printing

I've been experimenting with meme buttons lately to add some life to short animations—surprisingly effective for timing and humor 😄 Found a bunch here if anyone's curious: https://memesounds.net

🎉 Wat een leuke verzameling! Mijn nichtje was dolblij met haar kleurplaat verjaardag – zo simpel en toch zoveel plezier. Aanrader voor ouders die iets creatiefs zoeken! 😊 Bekijk de collectie hier: https://azkleur.nl/kleurplaat-verjaardag/

Wow, what a creative and functional design—turning a samurai into a pen holder is such a clever idea! I’m definitely inspired to mix practicality with art like this. Now off to finish some coloring with a <a href="https://azkleur.nl/kleurplaat-regenboog/
">kleurplaat regenboog</a>!

Thanks for sharing, this is really interesting for pens. Printed with <a href='https://ujoybio3d.com'>metallic pla filament</a>, very useful.

Really want to buy this design, but, as others have said, the purchase button is broke.

Thanks Bjorn for emailing me this file when the payment system wouldn't work. It's a quality print, and looks great on my desk holding a pen. I printed it with Hatchbox Gold filament, which turns out to be not very gold at all.... The only problem I've had is that the thumbs snapped off, but that is probably my fault with a low infill. I'm now using Simplify 3D for my slicer, so I'm going to reprint with 100% infill for the hand area. I'll post a picture when it is done. Well worth $2. Recommended.

I can't get the 'Purchase' system to work. Can I PayPal you, and then you email me the stl ?

If you message me your contact information i can send you the files personally. Or contact Pinshape support team.

Anyone try printing the samurai on his back to see if you can minimize support for arms and faces? May help keep the cool detail on his front features too, although, unclear what this will do for the detail on his back...

Bjørn Hensvold about 9 years ago

Yes, if you look at the print that Justin Keller did he has uploaded a few pictures where he prints it on his back.

Hi Bjorn,
When i load the .stl version my pc hangs up, when the program slice before printing.
i don't have any problems at other .stl files
mybe a problem when converting from obj to stl ?

Bjørn Hensvold almost 10 years ago

I am not sure what the problem might be, but i uploaded a new STL with only half the size, maybe it makes it easier for the program.

Mbart almost 10 years ago

Hi, how must i convert it to stl ? can not use obj with xyzware soft.
i tryd autoconverter, but when its done the object is only about 1 cm high ?
when i scale it to bigger size, it looks not like an samurai anymore.
how do i do it ?
bart.

Bjørn Hensvold almost 10 years ago
