This is my Latest and most updated Sauna Ladle / Saunakauha.

This design has been tested and proven in both electric and wood burning saunas. I have tested different variants of the design in many different high temp materials and have found the only proven and common material to 3d print this Sauna Ladle is from ABS. Other materials do not last long term. So I only recommend printing this out of a good quality ABS filament.

There are 3 types in the file section,

• 1 piece 358mm long Sauna Ladle

  • For those with 3D printers large enough to print the whole ladle in 1 piece

• 2 piece 358mm long Sauna Ladle

  • For those who's 3D printers are not large enough to print in 1 piece
  • Print the "Cup" and "Handle" separate. Then snap them together. The two parts have a draft, so they only slide together in one direction.

• 1 piece 283mm long Sauna ladle

  • For those who don't mind a shorter Ladle and want to print it in one piece.

Print Instructions

I print this on my Prusa I3 MK2.5 using PrusaSlicer and in an enclosure. I mainly print only the "2 piece Ladle 358mm long". For the 1 piece Ladle the procedure will be similar.

For the "Sauna Cup",

• I use supports (from the build plate only and with a Overhang threshold of 40)
• I use "layer editing" (0.150mm as Min Layer height) and set the layer height at 0.15mm where the supports are generated.
• Rest of Layer height set at 0.240mm
• Infill = 18%

For the "Sauna Handle"

• I use no supports
• And a layer height of 0.240mm
• Infill = 18%
