Geartech D8, version 3.0

Geartech D8 Die, version 3.0.  Single STL print of a geared D8 die.  Supports critical, as it's effectively two intertwined prints that need independent support, including interior supports.  (These break off when the gears engage for the first time.)  Tested in Nova 3D Clear resin, Elegoo Mars printer.  Gears work best if the interior is sprayed with some sort of lubricant, the prototype uses WD-40 Silicone (plastic-safe).

Designed in Solidworks and Blender.  Version 2.0 required R188 bearings and assembly of 17 pieces.  This version 3.0 lacks the smoothness and precision of version 2.0, but is a single print which saves some time and hassle.

Three files included, the clean version and two STL files with supports optimized manually in ChituBox.  Version "3a" uses heavier supports and has been tested on Monoprice Green resin.

Main photo of green and clear dice, pips painted with cheap acrylic paint.  (Applied with a toothpick, wiped clean with a baby wipe.)
