The Aldmeri Dominion, the youngest of the factions of the Interregnum, was formed by the Altmers as a response to the aggressive policy of the usurper Tarn: the invasion of the latter's forces in Valenwood led to the call of the Bosmers for help to their old allies - Altmers - due to some ancient treaties. The latter, in turn, calling on all the same treaties, announced the creation of the Aldmeri Dominion for general security and stability, driving the invaders from the forests of Valenwood.
