This is a modification for the Monoprice Modern Retro headphones to allow it to use detachable cables. I used these panel mount 3.5mm jacks and some wire from an old Ethernet cable. I have sanded and painted the example in the photos and you could also print a second one and install it on the opposite side to allow the headphones to use a balanced signal.
