Adventure Time is a series that is extremely beloved because of the magic and wonder of the world it presents while presenting themes that can be picked up by children and adults alike. Kids can laugh and adults can cry a trait unique to adventure time.

Given this amazing show, I wanted to bring Finn's sword from season 1 to life through 3D printing. I did exact measurements from both images and tracings to make the sword life sized and accurate to the cartoon. This adds to the realism of the prop and gives a more accurate portrayal of what the originally artists intended.

In addition aesthetic design, i designed the model to use 1.5 and 1 centimetre thick pins for assembly and strength. when assembled with glue the sword increases in rigidity and strength.

Recommendations for printing:

Use ABS for greater strength but PLA will work.

infill of 30% or higher for contact strength.

assembly with super glue.

use medical wrappings for the grip to give both texture and appearance. (this is why the wrappings aren't modeled).
