The air flow is supposed to connect at the bottom. The idea being that the pressure from the air passing through would draw the water through the side holes up and out. One of the issues looking back at it was that the water pressure was not high enough to overpower the air. So the nozzle would stall out and just push through the air after running for a while. I think if it either has a lower air pressure than I was getting with my pump or a larger water depth the pressures would equalize better and it would bring more water up with the bubbles.
Where does the air line directly from the bubbler connect?
