MD80 Camera mount for MJX X400 quadcopter
Free
Summary Simple mount adapter to attach an MD80 spy cam to an MJX X400 quadcopter. The design should allow an "ear bud" stalk to be used as a pin, I used philips screw drivers to splay the ends of the pin and a soldering iron to make a notch so it can't fall out. The idea is that the camera should pivot under its own weight after take off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAXnhmKaazA&feature= The mount screws into the same fastening locations as the C400x cameras that are normally used with the MJX X400. I did also remove the internal battery from the MD80 and fashion a connector that connects it directly to the C4005 power source, but it turns out the voltage drop when under power is enough to cause the MD80 to powerdown, so I don't recommend wasting your time trying this, I did not test the C4002 socket to see if it might have better performance. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't MatterSupports: Doesn't Matter Post-Printing Clean up Most likely you will need to clean up the slot and pin holes to allow the pin (ear bud stalk) and camera to move freely in the mount. The pin is normally a tight fit in the camera itself.
