I recently used a standard lighting dimmer in a project, and wanted a way to see what position the knob was currently in. I suppose I could have just used a marker to make a dot on the original knob...but where's the fun in that? This knob should fit the shaft of a standard dimmer, though as always, your mileage may vary.
