SummaryReplacement End Cap for the Big Motorhead on a Dyson DC59. What can I say, one of my daughters is an INCREDIBLY ROUGH vacuumer, she smashed the old End Cap, then lost it just to really make sure it was unusable :-) Anyhow, while they are only $2 from Dyson, they have been out of stock for the last few months, so I made this replacemnet. there are 2 versions, one with a Teflon bearing insert - it helps to have a lathe, of course, otherwise the ABS one works OK, but will need oiling and eventual replacement. The original is insanely complicated, but the small lip keeps my version in place perfectly well. Sadly, the screwdriver slot, whilst beautifully designed IMHO, is now reduntant.
