My work explores the relationship between the Military-Industrial Complex and unwanted gifts. With influences as diverse as Wittgenstein and Buckminster Fuller, new variations are crafted from both opaque and transparent structures. Ever since I was a pre-adolescent I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of the moment. What starts out as yearning soon becomes corrupted into a dialectic of defeat, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the dawn of a new order. As shimmering derivatives become transformed through frantic and academic practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the limits of our condition.
