Summary This is an adjustable rebate (rabbet) plane which can use a standard chisel as the cutting iron. (These types of planes are used for cutting a slot along the edge of a board.) The design is based upon Paul Sellers' handmade wooden rebate plane. Custom Section Conclusion I enjoyed the challenge of designing and making this, but after experiencing how long it took to print and how much plastic was used, I think that following Seller's lead and making one out of wood, would be a far better approachr. TODO There are still some problems with this design, mostly the width of the chisel+wedge gap is far too small to fit. :_(
